Halloween Adventures 2012

I did a lot of really neat things for Halloween this year.

We had a Halloween party at my school.  We did Pumpkin Math, and I got to carve a cat design into one side of my team's pumpkin.

I played right or center right field most of the fall baseball season.  But coach said I was improving on my throwing so I got to play 3rd base for one inning.  I almost got to play it a second inning, but the game ended.

On Halloween Mr. Terry our nextdoor neightbor had glow in the dark bubbles.  My mom took this really cool shot of me trying to pop them so I'd glow too.

I got a brand new bike for my birthday.  I have to admit that it's really, really neat.  I can go off road now.  I am learning how to change gears for the first time.  It's a bit difficult.

We went to Marbles Kids Museum Halloween Spooktacular.  I got to go to Marbles after hours.  We danced to The Monster Mash.  I enjoyed serving pizza to everybody in my Data uniform.  I got lots of compliments on how original my costume was.

Here's where I carved my pumpkin at home.  The one on the left is mine.  I carved it all by myself except for the top.  I had the idea of putting Mr. Potato Head things into the pumpkin so it would look more realistic.  Don't you like how the arms really make it look like he's talking?

I had one of the best Halloweens ever!

My Trip to Washington, DC

This is a picture of me with a WWII Veteran Frank Matthews at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.    Frank talked to us about how he was a private in the Marine Corps during WWII.  He fought at Iwo Jima and shared some battle stories with us.  He also talked to us about some of the museum pictures and pointed himself out to us two times.  I'd have to say that I'd like to go back there again.

I rode the Metro.  This was my number one favorite thing.  I rode all the lines on the last night there. I also found out about the silver line expansion.  I rode the blue line, the yellow line, the red line, the orange line, and the green line.   We used the Metro to go to the places that we wanted and at the end of the day to go back to the hotel which was a Comfort Inn in Springfield, VA. 

The National Zoo was a great sensation and experience.  The animals were actually awake and they actually did stuff.  Everything was amazing including the lions which were awake and roared.  When I saw the tigers they were half asleep but still staring at me.  I would have to say that the Pacific Octopus was also really cool.  We were disappointed that the Giant Pandas were asleep.

The river otters were really cool too.

On the day we arrived, we went to George Washington's Mount Vernon. I got to stand less than 5 ft from him and his wife.  Well from the Crypt.

Star Wars

On 9/21 I went to Star Wars Day! In the 1st picture there is me with R2-D2 the blue droid and R2-C3 the orange droid. In photo 2 I am in a picture. Now photos 4,5 and 6 are cooler 4 is a picture of me and Darth Vader. 5 is a picture of Chewy covering my head and 6 is R2-C3. I also got a mood ring while I am doing this post it turned blue witch means normal.I cant wait to go again.   

Super Scratch

Today I made my first program with Scratch. This is a very fun game.  I got to make a star and then change it into a trapezoid.  Well, mom really wanted a square, but... I messed with it and I got a trapezoid. I learned about how to make him move and color.  Mom talked about program blocks and other complicated stuff.  It was fun and confusing.

First of all I got a new elf named Candy Corner. #1 Durham Bulls Fan

Me Johnny Mom and Mr. Don went to the Durham Bulls game about a month ago.It was a great game. They won. As you can see I am a #1 fan! See you blog viewers real soon!

Bones

Bones is an Annalee doll. But he is an elf.  I love elves. They always move in places like on the chandelier and bookshelves or mantle.  Johhnny always wants mine. Sometimes they move overnight, and I have fun looking for them the next morning.  I can't wait to get more.

We are playing chess in Ms. Welch's class. I am 1 of the champions. I am also a good teacher at chess. I have won many games.

Nimbus

Nimbus the loggerhead turtle was one of the coolest things we saw at the Pine Knoll Shores NC Aquarium during track out.  He was a pretty cool turtle because he was white and a very rare kind of loggerhead.  You can read more about loggerhead turtles here.  My mom took this cool picture of me and Nimbus and I really like it.

Super Mario Bros. 2

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a great game.  I got it first thing when it came out.  I completed most of it on the first day and then a few days ago I unlocked three secret worlds.  It is a great game.  There are about 9 worlds.  I love the coin rush part mini game where you can play as Invincible Raccoon Tail Mario. The new golden flower power is temporary through only one level and is fantastic too.  My opinion on this game is that I love it and it's one of the best games in the universe.  You should give it a try on your 3DS if you have one.  

Homework Helper

Me and Kitty have been through lots of adventures but this one is the most funnest because I'm with Kitty and I'm reading my Harry Potter book 5.  It is one of my favorite books so far.  As you can see in the picture Kitty and me are reading together.  I do not read out loud though Kitty seems to scan the page as if she's reading the book too.  Me and her really enjoy our time together doing homework.
